Welcome to new england tennis association
As President of the New England Tennis Association (NETA), I welcome you to our website. The NETA is celebrating 89 years as a tennis organization.
Founded in 1925, it is one of the oldest African American tennis organizations in the United States. Arthur Ashe, the first African American to be ranked No. 1 and to win a Grand slam title played in our annual 4th of July Tournament during his early years. Top pros such as Zina Garrison and James Blake have also played in our tournaments.
Our goals are to encourage more people, particularly youth, to play tennis and to facilitate opportunities for people to develop their tennis playing abilities and to progress in this sport.
Please contact our member tennis clubs in Connecticut and Massachusetts if you are interested in joining us for tennis or if you have a son or daughter who is interested in playing tennis.
Please also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for queries or information.
I want to invite you to join us for our 98th July 4th Annual Tennis Tournament.
